Bath-based luxury hotels group Andrew Brownsword Hotels is to re-open Minster Mill in the Cotswolds next week following a £4.5m refurbishment.
The group, which owns 13 upmarket venues across the UK, acquired Minster Mill, pictured, near Oxford in 2016 from the De Savary family, who had operated it and sister property The Old Swan for six years as a 44-room, five-star hotel.
Following the refurbishment, the Old Swan – which is across the road from Minster Mill – will now operate as a ‘quintessential country inn’, while Minster Mill itself now has 38 bedrooms, each individually designed and home to L’Occitane products.
There is also a new restaurant, with the kitchen headed by 2017 MasterChef semi-finalist Tom Moody, previously at Brownsword portfolio sister hotel The Slaughters Manor House.
Minster Mill’s Garden Spa was originally opened in 2016 and provides ESPA treatments with three treatment rooms, alongside an indoor heated plunge pool, poolside rock sauna, aroma steam room, ice fountain and tropical rain forest showers.
Andrew Brownsword Hotels also owns the Bath Priory and Gidleigh Park in Devon along with the Abode city centre brand.
