Specialist foodservice and hospitality agency Eat PR & Marketing has been appointed by The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) as its PR, marketing and communications partner.
The agency, based at Glove Factory Studios in Holt, near Bradford on Avon, will provide RACA with social media content creation and internal and external communications as well as raising awareness of its events, awards and training programmes.
As Britain’s leading professional membership association for head chefs, head pastry chefs, restaurant managers and industry associate suppliers, RACA’s ethos is to help raise standards in both cooking and service.
It also aims to recognise and reward talent and drive awareness of food provenance and connect like-minded people throughout the profession.
Founded in 1980 as part of the internationally renowned Académie Culinaire de France and with King Charles III as its patron, it represents the pinnacle of kitchen, pastry and service, championing training and education to support the future of the hospitality industry.
Following internal reviews and analysis, RACA trustees and committee members approved a plan for an external partner that would deliver a comprehensive ongoing communications campaign.
RACA said by appointing Eat PR & Marketing it had created a partnership with an agency known for its expertise, knowledge and connections across the hospitality sector.
Founded in 2021, Eat PR & Marketing has established itself as a prominent foodservice agency, working with leading manufacturers, producers and suppliers to the industry on a national and international level.
Its clients include Bath's Ludo sports bar and kitchen, catering brands distributor Jestic Foodservice Solutions and the UK arm of gelato, ice cream and pastry equipment manufacturer Carpigiani.
RACA chief executive officer Lisa Jenkins, pictured with Eat PR founder and director Andrew Taylor, said: “The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts has led the hospitality profession by example for nearly 45 years.
"During this time hundreds of top chefs, pastry chefs and service personnel have been recognised by RACA’s educational programmes, accredited apprenticeship training, the Annual Awards of Excellence and the Master of Culinary Arts.
"Following several significant changes within the academy over the past two years, it was felt that now would be a good time to partner with a specialist PR agency – one that could deliver an effective campaign which recognises our history and heritage, while taking into consideration the future of RACA.
"We look forward to working collaboratively with Eat PR & Marketing and our stakeholders to help achieve our goals and growth.”
RACA chairman Adam Byatt, who is chef patron of the Michelin-starred Trinity restaurant in London, added: "In Eat PR & Marketing I believe we have a partner that not only shares our values and ethos but also understands our unique needs, ultimately, helping us to deliver a communications campaign that will support the academy as we look to the future.”
