The University of Bath’s School of Management has been placed in the top 1% of business schools worldwide after receiving the highest accreditation status from a global higher education assessment organisation.
EQUIS, the European Foundation for Management Development’s (EFMD) quality inspectorate, granted the school its much-coveted five-year accreditation – held by just 83 of the 13,000 business schools worldwide.
EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. Its fundamental objective is to raise the standard of management education worldwide.
It was impressed with the significant progress made since the school was last accredited by EQUIS in June 2012. It took particular note of the school’s high-quality international faculty and students, strong research culture and output, and attractiveness of the overall student experience.
Dean of the School of Management Professor Veronica Hope Hailey said: “This award reflects the University of Bath School of Management’s consistent approach to recruiting high-calibre students, providing high-quality programmes and delivering world-class, impactful research.”
