An historic Somerset pub, parts of which date back to before the English Civil War, has come onto the market with a £390,000 price tag.
The Grade II listed Full Moon at Rudge, near Frome, has five letting bedrooms and a large garden as well as traditional features including flagstone floors and fireplace.
A function room built in 1990 seats around 85 people and there is also a skittle alley and plus room for a marquee.
In addition to the public areas, there is a spacious owner’s flat on the first floor featuring a lounge, two double bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchenette.
Described by agents Colliers as an intimate and welcoming pub, the Full Moon survived a few difficult years before going into administration.
It was then bought in 2017 by experienced publicans Mark Hey and Liz Chamberlain, who started a refurbishment programme.
However, a change in their circumstances means the couple are now looking to sell the pub.
Ed Jefferson, of Colliers International’s Bristol-based hotels team, said: “To say the Full Moon represents excellent value for money is an understatement.
“Our client has carried out a number of improvements, but as a result of a change in circumstance, they have decided to sell the pub – creating an excellent opportunity for somebody to take the business forward.
“The Full Moon is only lightly traded so there is obvious potential to complete the refurbishment, re-open the rooms and re-introduce a food offering.”
