A Westbury industrial estate is fully let after the arrival of its latest occupier, independent Land Rover and Range Rover specialist Broad Lane Land Rovers.
Broad Lane, which was previously based in Melksham, has taken a 4,120 sq ft unit with a yard on the Woodland Industrial Estate – meaning all its buildings are either occupied or under offer.
The arrival of family-run Broad Lane, which has expertise in diagnosing, repairing and servicing Land Rovers, follows that of a number of business over recent months and expansion for others based on the estate.
In the spring Safari Removals made the move from Twerton to a 7,300 sq ft unit while site investigations and geotechnical services firm Topdrill and The Paper Bag Company, which supplies plain and printed promotional bags to retailers, have taken more space after opening on the Woodland Industrial Estate last year.
Other businesses on the estate, which is managed by Bath-based commercial property group HPH, include online wedding gift list firm Prezola, dress retailer Vestry Online and independent online book shop A Great Read.
HPH managing director Lindsay Holdoway said: “We are very happy to have Broad Lane Land Rovers on the Woodland Industrial Estate. We have had huge demand from the automotive sector for space on this estate and we selected Broad Lane Land Rovers as specialists in a very defined part of the market.
“It was important for the company to find a new base that allowed it the extra capacity to expand from its previous premises. Westbury is a good location for it and its expansion and future recruitment drive is excellent for the local community.”
Broad Lane offers a full range of services and provides specialist repairs, bespoke enhancements and vehicle servicing.
The move has enabled it to have space to expand and drive the business forward, including providing more services.
Managing director Fiona Pugh said: “We chose to move our business to Woodland Industrial Estate because it is the perfect location for our business. It is a very tidy and well-managed estate, which was really appealing for us when choosing a new location and HPH have been fantastic from the initial enquiry right through to the final hand over.
“Now that we have opened we expect to increase our customer base in the local area as we have been able to install extra ramps and equipment. This also means we are looking to increase the number of technicians in our team, which we plan to recruit from the local area.
“Our aim is to continue to develop our reputation as a professional and highly-rated independent Land Rover Specialist repairer in Wiltshire.”
HPH owns and manages an extensive property portfolio across Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset.
