Nearly 350 business leaders from across the West of England attended last week’s ICAEW regional annual business dinner, where former MI5 Director General Eliza Manningham-Buller was guest speaker.
Baroness Manningham-Buller drew on her experiences leading the service through significant change, expansion and scrutiny and urged businesses to embrace diversity of views to become more relevant and effective.
The event at Bristol’s Ashton Gate stadium, which also heard from ICAEW West of England president Ololade Adesanya, pictured below, was sponsored by insurance brokers the Howden Group, with accountants Albert Goodman sponsoring the drinks reception.
