Koffmann & Mr White’s at Bath’s Abbey Hotel has been officially opened with a glittering celebration attended by some of the city’s top sports stars.
Guests had the opportunity to try delicious canapes adapted from the restaurant’s new menu, which celebrates the best of French and English cuisine, and watch a spectacular fire show.
The restaurant has been opened by legendary chefs Pierre Koffmann and Marco Pierre White, who between them have amassed six Michelin stars.
Pierre Koffmann was on hand at the opening night party to put finishing touches to the menu and celebrate with guests including Bath Rugby's Jamie Roberts and Jacques Van Rooyen, Olympian Amy Williams and baker Richard Bertinet.
Pierre was awarded three Michelin stars at his La Tante Claire restaurant in London – where Marco Pierre White trained before moving on to gain his own three stars at Harvey’s and The Restaurant Marco Pierre White in the dining room at the Hyde Park Hotel.
The 62-bedroom, four-star Abbey Hotel was acquired by KE Hotels in February, whose owner Anil Khanna also attended the celebrations.
