National law firm Stone King is calling on Bath businesses to help its local office with a community initiative to keep the city clean.
The Bath Litter Pick is part of an initiative by the firm, with its offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds and London also staging similar rubbish round-ups.
Stone King’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) encourages all its staff to use one working day a year to volunteer, with many opting to use an hour of this time for the litter pick.
The Bath pick takes place on Wednesday, September 25, from 5-6pm, and the firm wants as many city businesses as possible to get involved.
Volunteers will collect litter in Green Park and along the River Avon, with the potential for other areas to be added as more helpers sign up.
Managing partner Steven Greenwood, pictured, said: “Bath is a beautiful city to live and work in and we want to help keep it looking at its best. As part of our CSR we are committed to helping with good causes and hope our actions will inspire other business to take part.”
“We are committed to being a socially responsible business, both internally and externally. We believe that it is crucial for us to make a positive impact on the communities in which we work and on our stakeholders.”
Stone King will work with Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) Council to make sure that as much waste as possible can be recycled and not end up in landfill.
Businesses interested in taking part should email samanthawalker@stoneking.co.uk or call 01225 478180.
Stone King employs more than 250 people providing specialist legal advice to clients in the education, charity and social enterprise, business and private client fields across its five offices.
