An office building with one of the most sought-after addresses in Bath and a strong wellbeing offering for staff is now fully occupied following its most recent letting.
Bath-based financial services software and consultancy services provider Altus has taken 2,756 sq ft (256 sq m) of open-plan office space in Queen Square House, pictured.
It said the Grade I-listed building features, including showers, natural ventilation and cycle racks, would be good for staff wellbeing.
Queen Square House, on the corner of Queen Square and Charlotte Street, is also home wealth managers Brewin Dolphin and Beckford James financial planner. Architecture practice SRA recently relocated from the building to an office off Upper Bristol Rd.
Privately-owned Altus, which was founded in 2005 with a mission to speed up financial services with superior technology, is currently based in Royal Mead, near Bath Spa railway station.
The fast-growing firm employs more than 80 staff supplying specialist consultancy services and market-leading automation software to more than 100 clients in the investment, pensions, general insurance and wealth management sectors.
The Bristol office of property agents Savills represented Queen Square House landlord CHB Enterprises while Altus was advised by Bristol-based Morton Property Consultants.
Savills Office agency team associate director Harry Allen said: “There remains strong demand in Bath city centre for modern office accommodation, particularly where open-plan floor plates can be offered, and we are really pleased to have secured Altus as a tenant in the building only a month after the previous tenant’s lease expired.”
Morton Property Consultants director Phil Morton, pictured, added: “We are delighted to have secured this high-quality office space in the heart of Bath.
“Having searched the market, Queen Square House stood out as the best option offering flexibility both physically and contractually with a significant wellbeing offer, including showers, natural ventilation and a courtyard with cycle racks.”
