Bath-based internet services provider Gradwell has again been listed as one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK by Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list.
The company, founded by managing director Peter Gradwell in 1998 during his second year of university, came sixth in the South West regional rankings and 99th in the UK, with growth of 281% during the past five years.
Gradwell provides flexible internet and communications services for small UK businesses such as flexible internet telephony, broadband, email and web hosting which are ideal for sole traders or workers on the move.
Now in its 11th year, the annual Deloitte Technology Fast 500 ranks the fastest-growing public and private technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies from 24 countries across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
It recognises business achievement and build upon the winners’ reputation as successful, growing technology companies.
The ranking adds to the collection of industry awards that Gradwell has picked up in 2011, which has been a particularly busy year for the Bath-based SME.
Earlier this year, the team was crowned Communication Provider of the Year by the Federation of Communication Services (FCS) and Gradwell Mobile, which gives a small business customer both their mobile and landline telephone number on their mobile phone, was named the most innovative product at the ITSPA awards.
The company has also launched several new products for the SME market, in addition to Gradwell Mobile, including Gradwell One, a service that allows people to operate several phones under one phone number and Fibreline, a pure fibre optic connection for businesses that sends your data from the internet exchange to the user at the speed of light, without any copper lines to slow down your connection.
