Bath Priory Hotel has reached the finals of this year’s prestigious VisitEngland awards and is one of just two venues shortlisted in the Small Hotel category.
The hotel, restaurant and spa collected three awards in the South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2011-12 staged in January – Small Hotel of the Year and Taste of the South West Award while general manager Sue Williams scooped the award for outstanding achievement.
Its triumph meant it went through to the long list for national awards, where it has been pitted against the best tourism businesses from across the country.
The Priory is one of 10 South West Tourism Excellence Award winners shortlisted for the national awards, the highest-ever number for the region. Having reached this stage, all are guaranteed a Gold, Silver, Bronze or Highly-Commended Award.
The awards take place on May 22 in Leicester.
