Bath change management consultancy Nine Feet Tall has been appointed Bath Rugby’s official business training partner.
The award-winning consultancy, which specialises in sustainable business transformation, has been supporting the club over the past few years through a variety of business training initiatives.
Now the partnership will be developed further to include business training for team leaders to enhance the matchday experience at the Rec.
Nine Feet Tall will also help build players’ business skills in key areas relevant to preparing for their post-rugby careers in conjunction with the Rugby Players Association’s player development programme.
Bath Rugby managing director Tarquin McDonald said: “We already have a very good partnership with Nine Feet Tall and we’re looking forward to evolving that over the next season.
“They have helped the business in a number of areas, as well as assisting many players in learning skills that will stand them in good stead when their rugby careers come to an end.”
Nine Feet Tall partner Huw Jones added: “Everyone at Nine Feet Tall is proud to partner with the staff and players at Bath Rugby.
“We believe in passion and accountability in our business and can see similar values at Bath Rugby, which makes this partnership extremely exciting for us.”
Nine Feet Tall recently staged its fifth business and sport networking event in association with Bath-based law firm Mogers Drewett, HSBC, Marriott Hotels and the Rugby Business Network (RBN), the world’s largest business networking community revolving around the sport.
Guest speakers included England hooker and Bath front row forward Rob Webber, Beijing Olympic Silver medallist and RBN ambassador Heather Fell, and Tom Stayt, the Gloucestershire cricketer, entrepreneur and now business consultant.
The event, held at Bath Cricket Club, also featured a question-and-answer session hosted by BBC Sport and Radio 5 Live presenter Dot Davies which focused on skills transferable from professional sport to business, how sportsmen and women have managed or are planning, and the new rugby season.
