Bath serviced office firm looking to make a splash in Bristol market with its tried-and-tested offering

An independent serviced office provider that launched in Bath three years ago is expanding into Bristol to fill what it sees as a gap in the city’s commercial property market.

Family-run Bath Office Co. has built a range of properties in its home city since it opened, creating flexible workspace environments and experiences which, it says, are designed to inspire teams with on-demand services.

Its Bath schemes include offices in Old Bond Street, Argyle Street, Princes Street and Chapel Row.

It has now launched sister business Bristol Office Co. to market space in the heart of the city based on what it calls its tried-and-tested independent serviced office model.

The 6,000-plus sq ft of prime space is over three floors in a grade II-listed building on St Augustine’s Parade in the city centre, pictured.

Each floor will be able to accommodate businesses with up to 40 staff and include private breakout areas, meetings rooms, kitchens, WCs and showers as well as super-fast internet and storage.

The site will also have on-site team, which will run the building, and virtual services will also be available.

Bristol Office Co. managing director Jamie Williams said: “Similar to our proposition in Bath, our strategy at Bristol Office Co. is simple – we want to provide an alternative to traditional commercial office leases.

“Our licences allow businesses to grow and thrive in environments that are ready-for-purpose from day one, giving the confidence to focus on their core business, without the faff of fluctuating utilities costs, building maintenance, or painful dilapidations bills.

“Now, more than ever, companies large and small want value for money which means a fixed monthly invoice with minimal upfront capital costs.”

He said the property on St. Augustine’s Parade, which will be ready for occupation next month, will put the business in the heart of the city centre and the professional community.

“We believe we have a strong role to play in helping organisations to scale effectively,” he added.

The building is between the Bristol Hippodrome theatre and the soon-to-be re-opened, Bristol Beacon concert hall and is within a stone’s throw of the numerous bars, cafes, restaurants and gyms of in the Harbourside, Park Street, Cabot Circus and Christmas Steps areas.
