Keynsham-based facilities management group Almeda has won a cleaning contract with Bath Spa University at its new Green Park House student accommodation development.
The newly refurbished city centre building has 461 rooms, all of which Almeda’s soft services department will be keeping clean. It also includes a laundry room and common room.
The building was unveiled in the summer and has now welcomed its first students.
It is the latest in a series of high-profile contract wins for fast-growing Almeda, which has taken on a new soft service manager, Colette Gould, to lead the team and assist the smooth running of the division.
Almeda managing director Brady George, pictured below, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to begin our new collaboration with Bath Spa University and to welcome Colette into the Almeda family.
“It is hugely exciting to continue to develop our soft services department with such a prestigious partner.”
Almeda has achieved exponential growth in the last couple of years and works with iconic buildings such as Bristol & Bath Science Park, the Arnolfini art gallery and ss Great Britain as well as a host of manufacturers and businesses.
The firm has also launched a new workplace foodservice division whose purpose is to lead the way in consuming only ethically sourced food in an effort to make individuals and the planet happier and healthier.
The first-of-its-kind service to be offered by a facilities management company, Food with Passion has already been commissioned by international building materials company Hanson UK to re-vamp its on-site catering facility at its shared service and IT centre in Chipping Sodbury.
