The convention bureau that promotes Bath to the global meetings and events industry has been shortlisted in the sector’s most prestigious awards scheme.
Meet Bristol & Bath, which is part of the regional Visit West destination marketing organisation, has been named as a finalist in the Best UK Convention Bureau category of this year’s Meeting & Incentive Travel Industry Awards.
The awards, the longest-established in the industry, recognise and reward excellence with the winners being voted for by UK-based event organisers and readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine.
Meet Bristol & Bath, will line up against rival convention bureaus from Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Birmingham & West Midlands and Newcastle-Gateshead at the gala dinner and awards ceremony on 15 September at Evolution London, the multi-purpose event space in Battersea Park.

Meet Bristol & Bath was formed in 2021 to operate as a regional convention bureau, promoting the West of England as a prime location for international conferences and business events and offering services to venues and event organisors across Bath, Bristol and the surrounding area. Visit Bath and Destination Bristol previously ran their own bureaus.
Prior to the pandemic, business events in the region were worth in an estimated £347m a year.
Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be presented in each of the 21 Meeting & Incentive Travel Industry Award categories.
The awards ceremony will be attended by more than 800 people, making it the UK’s largest annual gathering of meeting and event industry professionals.
