Bath-based PR firm DWP Public Relations has helped its client Clifton Asset Management reach the finals of the prestigious Business Moneyfacts Awards.
Clifton has been shortlisted in two categories – Best Alternative Funding Provider 2015 for its pensionledfunding.com site and Innovation in the SME Finance Sector award for the alternativebusinessfunding.co.uk portal.
Clifton and pensionledfunding.com won the Best Alternative Funding Provider Award last year.
The nominations come hot on the heels of DWP shortlisting the recent CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Pride regional awards last month for its work with Clifton.
DWP has handled PR for Bristol-based Clifton since 2012, leading the national media campaign of the company’s pension-led funding product. Its pensionledfunding.com portal has helped more than 1,500 businesses find funding worth around £200m and its popularity has made Clifton one of the largest providers of alternative business finance in the UK.
DWP was founded in 2007 and has grown rapidly to represent regional, national and international clients including KPMG CIO Advisory, Management Consultancies Association, and Chippenham-based Fascia Graphics.
DWP director David Pippett said: “We’re delighted to play a part in Clifton reaching the finals of the Business Moneyfacts Awards. It is especially satisfying for alternativebusinessfunding.co.uk to be recognised, as this was one of the most successful press and lobbying campaigns we have ever been involved in, with widespread national media coverage and recognition from [Business Secretary] Vince Cable on the day of the launch.”
Clifton Asset Management chairman Adam Tavener, who was the catalyst for the alternativebusinessfunding.co.uk collaboration, said: “After winning the Best Alternative Funding Provider last year, we’re delighted to be shortlisted for two awards in 2015. This is recognition of all of the hard work that has taken place both within Clifton, and at a wider industry level, through the ABF collaboration.”
