Bath’s Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is to celebrate midsummer with a five-course twilight supper in its magical gardens – with all proceeds donated to the city’s Julian House homeless charity.

The evening, created in conjunction with Bath eating-out ‘bible’ The Pig Guide, will include music, champagne and a five-course menu that embraces English summer produce and nature’s spoils.

Guests will enjoy a sumptuous evening dining al fresco surrounded by wildflowers while enjoying the sound of acoustic guitar music and the popping of Taittinger Champagne bottles as they dine on the finest British produce.

In echoes of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, guests will dine under the night sky with the ambient light from lanterns hung around the gardens, as music plays to create a truly magical atmosphere.

The five-course tasting menu has been created by the five-star hotel’s executive head chef David Campbell and will celebrate traditional British fare and seasonal summer produce to create a culinary journey that, according to the hotel, will be the epitome of gastronomic delight.

Julian House works to directly help those most marginalised in society and operates more than 40 projects across the South West from social enterprises to supporting those with learning difficulties.  Its work helps to change the lives of some of society’s most vulnerable individuals.

The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa’s Midsummer Garden Party is on June 20 from 7pm to 10pm. Tickets are £99 per person including welcome glass of champagne, five courses and a matching wine flight.
