Edward Nash, senior partner at Bath architects Nash Partnership, has achieved AABC accreditation (Building Conservation).
The accreditation will further support the dedicated and market-leading team of conservation specialists at Nash that over recent years have successfully supported and completed a diverse range of projects.
Mr Nash said it was important to acquire expert knowledge and skills to further enhance the practice’s established conservation offering, working alongside existing and new clients to deliver considered and expert conservation design and advice. Contemporary construction practice has become very different from the traditional skills that were familiar 50 years ago, he said, adding: “It was important for me to achieve this accreditation in order to demonstrate our on-going commitment to delivering market leading conservation advice and design.
“Nash Partnership now has one of the best-qualified teams with a strong desire to work alongside regional and national clients who feel as passionately about conservation as we do.”
Nash is a multi-disciplinary practice specialising in offering architectural, planning and regeneration advice to clients with challenging sites from their offices in Bath and Bristol.
It was set up in 1988 and now employs more than 30 staff with skills in a range of services to help clients from project generation and feasibility to planning and construction.
In 2010 it won the RTPI National Planning Award for Local Regeneration and Renewal for its Kingston Mills project, was runner up in the RTPI National Planning Award for Heritage for the Blists Hill Victorian Town and 2011 Project of the Year from the RTPI West Midlands for Blists Hill.
In July it was shortlisted for three Sunday Telegraph British Home awards.
