Bath-based planning, creative, technology and media firm The Agency saw off stiff competition from larger established agencies at the prestigious Marketing Industry Network Awards to walk away with four trophies out of its six nominations.
Its haul on the night included SW Best Marketing Business of the Year, Best UK Small Agency of the Year, Best B2B Strategy and Creative Campaign of the Year as well as the Chairman’s Award.
The awards are a particular coup for The Agency’s new creative director Phil Blackmore who joined the team in January with the remit to help raise the company’s profile and cement its reputation as one of the UK’s leading creative outfits to add to its existing strong reputation for planning and technology. It also recently opened a media buying division.
The Agency's managing director Saman Mansourpour said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised by the MI Network judging panel, and are particularly happy to receive the Chairman’s Award.
“It’s all down to the hard work put in by our team and our clients throughout the year and that makes these awards very special. We’ve always known we have an exceptional team and an agency built for the future of our industry. We’re all looking forward to another high performance year in 2014 and this gives us a fantastic foundation for future growth.”
The Best B2B Strategy and Creative Campaign Award was given in recognition of recent work undertaken for the Bristol & Bath Inward Investment Service, which is a collaboration between Bristol and Bath City Council. The campaign has received international acclaim and recently won a Creative Award at MIPIM, the world’s largest property expo held in Cannes in April.
In the past few years The Agency has enjoyed strong year-on-year growth, with a 36% increase in gross profit for the year ending 2013. It is placed at 45 in the UK’s Top 100 Agencies rankings and features in The Drum Magazine’s Design Top 100, Digital Top 100 and Advertising Top 100.
Clients include The AA, BT, BSM, Del Monte, Gooch & Housego, i-Escape, Siemens and Gigaset.
