Rotork, the Bath-based advanced engineering firm, has appointed Martin Lamb as a non-executive director and will make a number of boardroom changes later this month.
Mr Lamb, pictured, who took up his appointment today, will sit on the Rotork board’s audit, nomination and remuneration committees.
He was chief executive of engineering group IMI from 2001 until 2013 and is a non-executive director of utility group Severn Trent.
As previously announced by Rotork, which makes specialised valves and actuators for the global oil and gas industries, non-executive director Ian King retires from the board on June 20 and is replaced by John Nicholas as senior independent director from that date.
He will remain a member of the audit committee but will step down from the chair position following this appointment to be replaced by Sally James.
Meanwhile, following a tender process for its statutory audit contract, Rotork has appointed Deloitte as its statutory auditor and the firm will undertake its 2014 interim review and full-year audit.
Deloitte’s continuing appointment will be subject to shareholder approval at Rotork’s 2015 AGM.
