Bath-based law firm Mowbray Woodwards has strengthened its legal team with two new key appointments while one of its trainees has qualified as a solicitor.
Rebecca Broom has joined the growing private client team as an associate solicitor while Areesha Amin becomes a paralegal in its residential property team.
Rebecca will be responsible for advising clients on all aspects of future planning, including wills, trusts, Powers of Attorney and care planning.
Rebecca, who qualified as a solicitor in 2001, arrives at Mowbray Woodwards after 11 years at Woollcombe Yonge Solicitors in Plymouth.
Prior to that she worked at Blaser Mills solicitors in Buckinghamshire. She is a fully accredited member of both The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).
Rebecca said: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a long-established, multi-disciplinary law firm as Mowbray Woodwards which has a first-class reputation in Bath and throughout the region.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is having the opportunity to meet people and hear their stories. I enjoy helping clients get their financial and property affairs in order, providing them and their families with peace of mind for the future.”
Areesha studied law at UWE and recently qualified as an accredited mediator. As an important member of the property team, she will be responsible for helping clients with the full range of conveyancing services and providing administrative support to Mowbray Woodwards’ specialist property solicitors.
The two new appointments follow hot on the heels of the recent qualification of Harriet Woodman as solicitor in the family law team. Harriet joined Mowbray Woodwards as a trainee solicitor in 2014 and will now be working alongside associate solicitor Daniela Nikols, assisting parents involved in care proceedings.
Mowbray Woodwards managing partner Tracey Smith said: “It is always exciting when new team members join us here at Mowbray Woodwards and I know they will make a valued contribution to the private client and property departments respectively.
“And a huge ‘well done’ to Harriet Woodman on her recent qualification. Our trainees play a key part in our long-term success and it is hugely gratifying to help provide them with a firm foundation to build their law career.”
