The parallels between elite sport and business were explored at a lively seminar staged by Bath Rugby with their official legal partner Withy King and financial advisors Fidelius.
Forty firms attended the Get Fit for Business event at Bath Rugby’s Farleigh House training facility, to hear managing director Tarquin McDonald, performance director David Thompson and captain Stuart Hooper share the club’s strategy for motivating their players as well as taking questions from the floor.
Head of employee benefits at Bath-based independent financial advisors Fidelius, James Biggs, provided insights on pensions and other financial aspects of staff retention and reward while head of the employment law team at Withy King, Malcolm Gregory, discussed contractual obligations and other employment directives.
