Exhibition, design and print specialist Colour Studios has invested in a cutting-edge wide format digital printer and software for its creative studio in Radstock.

The only model of its type in the South West, the Jetrix flatbed KX7-D will transform the company’s print business in the UK and Europe by allowing the team to take on even more ambitious large scale print projects for indoor and outdoor advertising.

The high-quality printer can handle sizes up to 3050mm x 2500mm, perform razor sharp edge-to-edge HD printing and run four times faster than its predecessor, ideal for quick turnaround for clients.

This latest technology is able to print white ink, has a fine art mode for very detailed work and offers an excellent new feature of printing solid colours without the banding often associated with UV digital print.

Colour Studios managing director Adam Carwardine said: “We are delighted to have such a fantastic piece of technology in our studio. Being able to print on such a wide format and with a range of materials is really going to make a difference to our clients. We can’t wait to see the results.”

Colour Studios, founded in 1982, designs and produces a range of visual marketing, exhibiting and wide format display services to help firms achieve their marketing, promotional and communication goals. Its clients include Clarks, Centrica, the University of Bath, Bath Spa University, Nationwide Building Society, EDF and media group Future.
