The 2017 SPARKies awards have been launched with the ambition of shining a light on the very best people, products and companies in the Bath and Bristol’s digital and tech sectors.
Now in their fifth year, the awards showcase the region’s start-ups, founders, entrepreneurs and mentors and highlight the best companies and innovations. 
They also include a Lifetime Achievement award for the person who has made a demonstrable long-term contribution to strengthening the region’s tech cluster, and a People’s Choice award, voted for by the audience at the SPARKies ceremony.
In total there are 15 categories in the awards, which are staged by West of England tech sector group TechSPARK.
This year the awards ceremony will be held at Bath’s Komedia on June 29.
Headline sponsor is Bath-based communication technology firm Gradwell, with gold sponsors Bristol & Bath Science Park, Just Eat Ventures, NatWest, Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator and Invest Bristol & Bath.
