BAMM, the Bath-based media makeup specialist, is reaching out to anyone interested in working as a media makeup artist in film, theatre or TV.
The academy in Julian Road is opening its doors on the March 6 and 7 to potential students who want to either take their first step towards a career as a media makeup artist or want to find out more.
Both days will be attended by celebrity makeup artist and BAMM tutor Christine Bateman who will showcase some of her amazing talents.
Best friend and makeup artist to Boy George and Charlotte Church, Christine is famous for being one of the industry’s most innovative and outrageous makeup designers since the dawn of the New Romantics. Christine’s artistic talent was inspired and influenced during the 80s and 90s, partying at nightclubs like Blitz, Kinky Gerlinky and Taboo with Boy George and Steve Strange.
They inspired the fashion cultures that consumed London and New York, later influencing the world-beating designs of Alexander McQueen, Lucian Freud, Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, David LaChapelle and numerous other ‘nu-rave’ artists.
Founder and creative director Melanie Crump will also be on hand to show everyone around and answer any questions. The BAMM team will have all details you require regarding their media makeup courses, including prices and dates, so potential students can find the right option for them.
While booking is not essential, anyone interested in attending should email info@bathmediamakeup.co.uk stating what type of course you are interested in and if possible, which day they will attend.
