Bath-based BPM Maintenance has been shortlisted in the South West Built Environment Awards 2014 following 60% growth over the past year.
The building & property maintenance company is competing in the Small/Medium Enterprise (SME) of the Year category. It said its commitment to people development and adoption of best practices within the company had also contributed its nomination.
Run by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and Constructing Excellence South West (CESW), the awards celebrate good practice within the construction industry and are rigorously judged by a panel of experts which includes the director of the Federation of Master Builders South, Ron Willers, and the head of the construction and property department at the University of the West of England, David Proverbs.
BPM Maintenance director Chris Kille said: “The success of our business is built on a foundation of training and continuous skill development. Our training spend is well above the average for small businesses in our sector & as a result we have a highly-skilled property maintenance team that output a consistently excellent standard of work.
“I am pleased that our achievements are being recognised by the industry, in the form of this award shortlisting.”
Other factors that led to BPM Maintenance’s shortlisting include a dedication to promoting health & safety at work, the adoption of best practices within quality, environmental issues, management & health and safety, the efforts of the business to help develop the local Bath community and the use of high tech collaboration tools & software.
