A new associate director and senior surveyor have been appointed to global real estate advisor CBRE’s South West property management team along with a new graduate trainee.
Matthew Maxwell joins as associate director after 15 years with property management and building consultancy Workman in Bristol, while Angus McPhail arrives as a senior surveyor having previously spent just over four years with Bristol property agents Hartnell Taylor Cook.
Graduate trainee Amelia McClune recently completed a degree in English Literature at Cardiff University and is taking a masters conversion course as part of her training to be Chartered within the property field under the RICS Commercial Pathway scheme.
CBRE’s Bristol-based property management team works closely with the firm’s Midlands and South offices, offering expertise across the wider region.
CBRE director and South West head of property management Kristen Miskella said: “Having Matthew and Angus on board will help drive us forward as we take on more clients.
“Their expertise and enthusiasm is already having a big impact and our colleagues and clients are benefitting from their combined experience.
“Amelia has already made a significant contribution to the team and she’s brought a fresh perspective that we all gain from.”
Matthew, who will support clients including Sports Direct and CBRE Investment Management in his new role, added: “I’m excited to help CBRE grow its property management reach further while drawing on the experience and insight that comes from working with a global firm.”
Angus will support clients including Schroders and Deutsche Bank as well as working with Matthew for CBRE Investment Management.
He said: “I’m looking forward to growing my career as part of a team that covers such a broad range of clients and I’ve already been given the chance to make a real impact.”
Amelia added: “I’m finding property management an ideal place to start as I learn about the many aspects of commercial real estate. I get a lot of support and can already see the opportunities to take my career further.”
