Bath tech firms are being invited to follow in the footsteps of some of the city’s most innovative businesses by entering the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 Awards.
Now in their 24th year, the awards rank and recognise the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the UK, based on the past four years of revenue data.
One of the UK’s foremost technology awards programmes, they are open to any firm that uses proprietary technology in their business.
Previous winners have included 71 firms from across the South West, 13 of them from Bath.
The most recent South West firm to feature was Bristol-based technology-driven marketing agency Seeker Digital, which ranked 25th last year on a list that included some of the most dynamic UK players in sectors spanning adtech, biotech, cleantech, edtech, fintech, healthtech, insuretech and communications.
Phil Lane, a financial advisory partner who leads accountancy firm Deloitte’s private practice in the South West, pictured, said: “This region has a thriving tech sector. The Fast 50 is an excellent opportunity for digital and tech businesses, as well as start-ups, to demonstrate their success.”
“The awards are driven by growth and while the past 15 months has been challenging for many businesses, those that use proprietary technology in their business have seen exponential growth in some areas.
“It is a time to celebrate the innovation and entrepreneurship we have in the region and I am really looking forward to see who will follow in the footsteps of Seeker Digital.”
Last year’s overall winner, DivideBuy, had grown by 20,733% over the previous three years.
Combined, last year’s Fast 50 businesses employed more than 10,400 people and achieved an average growth rate of 2,898% over a three-year period.
