Bath-based chartered accountancy firm Pearson May is celebrating raising more than £100,000 for local charities from its popular golf days.

Now in their 20th year, the well-supported annual events attract businesses from across the region. More than 25 businesses took part in this year’s event at Cumberwell Park.

After the golf, which was won by Frome-based Repleo, players and representatives of the charities enjoyed a dinner together.

This year’s charities included Bath Cancer Unit Support Group, Dorothy House, Stepping Stones and Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

Pearson May partner Martin Bridle said: “Our golf days were originally conceived to raise much-needed funds for a choice of local charities.”

Bath Cats and Dogs Home ‎senior fundraiser Zena Jones was again delighted with the contribution from the event.

She said: “Pearson May has been supporting the home for many years and have so far raised an incredible £6,400 for our animals. One of their partners has even gone on to adopt one of our dogs!”

Pearson May has this year been celebrating its 175th year anniversary. As well as its Great Pulteney Street head office it also has bases in Trowbridge and Chippenham.
