Bath-based software house Mayden is inviting local charities to get involved in its two-day hack next month.
Charities will have access to the combined expertise of Mayden’s software developers, marketing and admin teams, and coaches to help them move forward an idea or project of their choice.
Mayden software developer and scrum master Rob Cullingford, said: “Hack days allow people to collaborate and rapidly innovate, prototype and build technical solutions to real problems - all within a set timescale.
“They are an opportunity to work with experts to think through and try out solutions to challenges, brainstorm ways to get a great idea off the ground, or put some much needed time and energy into that project that’s been sitting in the pipeline for weeks… or even years!”
Charities keen to get involved need to send details of the project or idea to Mayden ahead of the two-day event on October 19 and 20. They will also need to commit to sending a member of staff to work in Mayden’s offices during the two days to outline their project vision, liaise with the teams and get involved in the workshop itself.
The event will offer an opportunity to collaborate with enthusiastic and creative people who are experts in their chosen field, ranging from strategic or campaign planning and costing to project development and prototype building.
The hack will end with a presentation of the work that produced over the two days followed by drinks and an autumnal BBQ at Mayden’s Widcombe office.
