Simon Walshe, an independent financial adviser based in Chase de Vere’s Bath office, has secured a double accolade in his professional examinations for the second consecutive year.

Simon gained the highest scores of all South West entrants in the AF3 paper on pension planning and the Best Completion award in Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

It follows his success last year when he achieved the highest scores in the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) AF4 examination, based on investment planning, and its CF8 examination, based on long-term care.

Simon, who joined financial advise firm Chase de Vere after graduating in 2009, will be presented with the awards at the CII 2014 Awards evening on September 18.

Chase de Vere senior manager for Bath and the South West, Andrew Stevenson, said: “It is huge credit to Simon that he has achieved such fantastic results for the second successive year, while also achieving Chartered Financial Planner status, which is generally regarded as the gold standard for professional qualifications in financial advice.

“Simon is not stopping, though, as he is still taking and passing further qualifications, which will ensure that his clients benefits from his expert knowledge of investments, pensions and protection.”

Chase de Vere, which has 14 offices across the UK, provides independent financial advice and planning services for private individuals and businesses.
