Hundreds of Bath businesses were beating path to the city’s Assembly Rooms today as the Bath Business Expo got under way.
More than 600 people registered to attend the high-profile event - one of the biggest of its kind between Bristol and Swindon.
Organisers expect today’s expo to be bigger and better than last year’s, when just over 500 people attended and more than 100 businesses from across Bath and the West of England took exhibition stands.
This year the range of seminars, workshops and networking opportunities is bigger than ever.
New seminars exploring the areas of hiring apprenticeships and lean thinking have been added to a schedule that already boasts topics ranging from supporting scale-up businesses to the future of the West of England’s economy.
At 1.45pm West of England Metro Mayor Tim Bowles will speak about opportunities for businesses in the region at a special seminar hosted by former ITV correspondent Rebecca Broxton.
Mayor Bowles has just returned from the MIPIM global property gathering in Cannes, where he highlighted the region’s major development opportunities to an international audience of investors.
The Expo ends at 3pm and will be followed by networking. For more information go to http://www.bathexpo.co.uk/
