Sharon Hunter, the head of the lettings department at property agency Carter Jonas’ Bath office, was among the winners at the UK property industry’s largest and longest-running awards.

Sharon was one of only five people from across the country to be highly commended in the People category of the ESTAS (Estate and Lettings Agents) awards.

Now in their 11th year, the ESTAS are based on client feedback. There were 790 entries with 32,000 clients voting for their agent in the awards.

Nationally, Carter Jonas won Silver for the best medium-size national lettings agency with between six and 20 offices across the UK in recognition of the quality and consistency of its service.

Sharon said: “It’s fantastic to know that clients hold your agency in high enough regard to win such a prestigious ranking among national agencies and I’m also thrilled to win a personal award.

“It relied on good feedback from clients – the award organisers ask clients a series of questions about the service they have received from their agents so entrants to the awards are not able to influence the outcome.

“Being nominated is a great service to us because we get client feedback that we haven’t sourced ourselves, making it truly neutral, and it demonstrates the consistent high standards of service across the firm.”

The ESTAS were staged at the Park Lane Hilton in London.
