Bath-headquartered law firm RWK Goodman has strengthened its real estate team with the appointment of a new partner.
Robert Walton, pictured, joins from Michelmores in Bristol having previously spent five years at Stone King’s Bath office. He has also worked for BLB Solicitors in Bath.
A litigator for eight years prior to transferring to transactional commercial real estate, he has a strong track record working on matters relating to the education, charity and energy sectors and will be looking to develop those areas at RWK Goodman.
RWK Goodman’s 72-strong real estate team operates from its offices in Bath, Oxford, Swindon and London.
Robert said: “I enjoy working with my clients to understand their sectors and essentially make their life easier by dealing with the legal aspects allowing them to focus on their business.
“I find it very rewarding to develop close relationships so I can become a trusted advisor and someone my clients know will be responsive to their needs.”
RWK Goodman real estate lead in Bath, Richard Roth, added: “We are delighted to welcome Robert to the firm.
“He is recognised as a leader in his field and we look forward to working with him and to the contribution he will bring.”
RWK Goodman was formed earlier this year from the merger of Bath-headquartered Royds Withy King and London practice Goodman Derrick,
The firm, which employs more than 500 people, has two offices in Bath – Northumberland Buildings in Queen Square and Midland Bridge House on Midland Bridge.
