Change management consultancy Nine Feet Tall and leadership, coaching and mentoring firm Footdown have teamed up to support the Bath Rugby Foundation by supplying it with communication training.
Nine Feet Tall and Footdown – both based in Bath – provided an insight discovery course for 12 members of Bath Rugby Foundation’s team.
The Foundation is the charity arm of Bath Rugby and aims to enhance the lives of young people through sport, including motivation, raising self-esteem, increasing confidence and improving life skills by imparting the values found in rugby – camaraderie, loyalty, discipline and respect.
Footdown consultancy manager Sam Elly said: “This compelling course has been designed to help participants to communicate more effectively within the workplace. Areas we looked at included developing self-awareness and personal style; understanding colleagues better and working out how to adapt our style to get the best out of them.
“The team engaged really well in the session and we had a lot of fun with the Insight Discovery Model, the profiling tool which uses colour as the basis for recommendations. 
“The Foundation managers have taken away actionable ideas based on the model to enhance their communication style to enable better relationships with their stakeholders.”
Bath Rugby Foundation inclusion manager Caryl Thomas said: “As an independent charity, I am really grateful to Footdown for giving up their time to help us improve the way we communicate both internally and with our clients too and this will serve us really well when working with young people.”
