Directors at facilities management group Almeda are anticipating record sales for its latest financial year following a string of high-profile client wins and partnerships.
The Keynsham-based company recently secured a contract with English Heritage to handle mechanical and engineering maintenance on 23 of its historic sites including the coastal castles at Pendennis, Tintagel and Dartmouth.
Family-owned Almeda has also partnered with several educational establishments to help support and develop students across the South West, including at UWE where, as part of its on-going strategy to offer energy efficiency ideas to its customers, it has united with client Arnolfini to conduct energy audits through the university’s Architecture and the Built Environment Department.
The audit will be conducted by energy management and performance evaluation students, enabling them to develop the acquired skills to manage technical evaluations of buildings and facilities.
Almeda is also working in association with Plymouth University to help develop undergraduates’ entrepreneurial and business skills.
Almeda marketing department is working with students to investigate the firm’s social presence with the aim of creating a report and video presentation at the end of the project.
Managing director Brady George, pictured, said: “English Heritage is a prestigious account and we are excited to have the opportunity to work alongside an organisation that shares our values and to help them achieve their environmental and efficiency goals moving forwards.
“We have also forged several rewarding partnerships with universities. We are passionate about supporting the next generation and helping them to acquire crucial business skills as well as an understanding about personal and corporate responsibility for the environment.”
