Bath-based brand, creative and digital agency Mr B & Friends has appointed Rob Lowe to the newly-created post of director of digital.
Rob joins from international marketing services giant Harte Hanks, where he was head of digital, leading teams across the UK, Europe and US working with clients including Samsung, InBev and Vodafone.
His appointment follows an 18-month strategy of investment into the agency’s digital proposition, including the senior appointments of Hugh Parr-Burman, David Smith and recently Jamie Kenyon and Ezra Mulhern.
The 25-strong agency is one of the fastest-growing companies in the South West having doubled in size in three years, and now works with brands such as Unite Students, SSE Telecoms, Tui, the BBC, Principality Building Society and Siniat (part of the Etex Group) on a wide range of brand, marketing and digital services.
Six months ago the company appointed Claire Jonik as marketing innovation director from Future Plus, part of Bath publishing group Future, and also launched sister company CXCo specialising in customer experience.
Mr B & Friends CEO and founder Simon Barbato said: “Over the past three years we’ve underpinned our brand and creative service proposition with a solid digital offer. We are now accelerating our capabilities in this area in order to maintain our freshness and relevance to client needs and continue our growth and market penetration.
“Rob’s track record is hugely impressive, as is his knowledge of the digital landscape. We’re confident that he’ll make a significant difference to our clients’ business and the agency’s prospects.”
Rob Lowe added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Mr B & Friends – an agency that has demonstrated an ability to deliver clever strategic solutions and stunning creativity across all media. My ambition is to harness those established skills and fully realise the potential of the agency in the digital space.”
