The potential for electric cars to be a realistic alternative to traditionally-fuelled vehicles provided food for thought at Monahans Chippenham Breakfast Club.
The events continue to attract business people from right across Wiltshire, as well as from Bath and Bristol, and are rapidly becoming some of the must-attend business events in the region.
Some 95 people attended the last meeting at the Chippenham Sports Club to network and hear Alan Smith of Renault UK explain how technological advances are making electric cars more attractive and how the infrastructure for them is developing all the time. He busted many myths surrounding the cars and gave attendees the chance to see Renault’s new electric models Zoe and Twizy.
Ian Lloyd from Monahans was delighted with the response from those attending.
“This was one of the best presentations to date,” he said.
“Electric cars are clearly not right for everyone but Alan’s talk certainly gave people food for thought and I’m sure they will become a more common sight on the roads around here.”
Monahans Chippenham business breakfast takes place every two months. Visit
