Bath Rugby has signed up leading sports clothing brand Canterbury as its new kit supplier in a three-year deal.
Since its establishment in New Zealand 1904, Canterbury has expanded to become the world’s largest rugby apparel brand. It is the official kit supplier to a host of rugby nations including England, Ireland, Russia and Japan.
Bath supporters will see the team line up in the new kit for the first time on Saturday 12th September, when they take on Gloucester at the Memorial Ground in the inaugural West Country Challenge Cup.
Canterbury CEO Chris Stephenson said: “We are excited to announce our three-year deal with Bath Rugby in their 150th anniversary year.
“By joining with Bath, a club steeped in rugby history and values, Canterbury demonstrates their commitment to the game and continued desire to partner with the very best teams in the world. We are delighted with this partnership and hope supporters look forward to our involvement with the club.”
Bath Rugby managing director Tarquin McDonald added: "Our 150th year is the perfect time to enter this partnership with a world-renowned brand such as Canterbury. Their name is synonymous with our sport and the range and quality of merchandise they will provide means there is much to be excited about for players and supporters alike.”
Canterbury replace Tri Distribution, which has been official kit supplier for the past two years. Before that Bath had a long-running agreement with international sports brand Puma.
