Bath entrepreneurs Poppy and Mark Powell have launched their third specialist cafe in the city.
Knickerbockerglory, at 15-16 Pulteney Bridge, offers an array of sweet treats from traditional British desserts such as Eton mess to banana splits and, of course, knickerbocker glories.
Other favourites include giant waffles served with West Country ice cream and fresh fruit. The shop has been decorated in 1920’s art deco style and boasts fantastic views across the nearby weir.
Poppy said: “We wanted to create a special place for Bathonian’s and visitors to the city to come and indulge in some classic quintessentially English delights.
“We have two daughters and Daisy our eldest loves ice cream. We realised that there was nowhere in Bath providing such an offering and when the unit became available we couldn’t wait to get started.”
Poppy and Mark also own The Bridge Coffee Shop next door to Knickerbockerglory and Cake Café at in the SouthGate Shopping Centre. Knickerbockerglory is open from 10am to 7pm daily and, as well as tucking into the delicious ice creams, customers can also enjoy freshly-squeezed orange juice, milkshakes and coffees.
