Hilary Salzman, who is candid about the many twists and turns of her career – from corporate brand marketing to the agency she co-founded – will speak at the next Phenomenal Women gathering on Thursday, November 21.
Inspired by Maya Angelou’s poem Phenomenal Woman, the bi-monthly series has been hosted by Bath’s Gainsborough Hotel since 2018 to champion women from all backgrounds who have achieved recognition and made a significant impact in their field.
Hilary, a guest lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, will be offering practical advice and inspiration on how woman can build their own story to reflect their true self, in a world clouded by self-doubt and limiting beliefs
She says that revealing how she discovered the power of her own story, having left a senior role with a six-figure salary, is crucial in helping other women find their voice.
Her podcast The Everyday Storyteller was shortlisted for Business and Self Improvement Podcast of the Year at the Independent Podcast Awards 2023 and named Moment of Entrepreneurial Inspiration at the International Women in Podcasting Awards also last year.
Hilary, who lives near Bath with her partner Tim, daughter Esme and golden retriever Charlie, will be talking at about her book The Roar of Her Story – How to tell everyday stories to attract your dream clients and build a business that’s unapologetically you, which aims to encourage women to set their own personal benchmarks for success and provides practical advice on how to build an individual brand story.
Tickets for the event are £15 and include prosecco and canapes.
