Regional accountancy firm Bishop Fleming has appointed John Talbot as an audit director in its fast-growing Bath office.
John, pictured, a chartered accountant with more than 17 years of audit experience, joins from rival BDO. He is experienced in dealing with a wide range of corporate sectors, including manufacturing, IT, professional services and leisure and hospitality. 
He is also experienced in the not-for-profit sector, particularly charities and membership organisations. John’s clients have ranged from start-ups to mature businesses and include owner-managed, private equity-backed, listed and subsidiaries of overseas entities.
John spent seven years with Ernst & Young (now EY) before joining BDO in 2006, becoming an audit director more than two years ago.
In that role at Bishop Fleming he will enhance the firm’s growing audit team, using his extensive knowledge and experience to provide advice and support to clients and further develop the firm’s assurance services.

Bishop Fleming’s Bath base is now one of the fastest-growing and most successful among the firm’s seven offices and is also the largest in the city with four partners and 42 staff.
