Bath-based specialist supply chain management innovator Actual Experience has recruited a widely experienced director to help it meet its ambitious growth in the US.
The firm, which improves digital supply chains for major firms through leading-edge analytics, has appointed former deputy CEO of global consulting, technology and outsourcing group Capgemini in a non-executive role.
Paul spent much of his career with Capgemini and its predecessor companies and has extensive experience of the outsourcing industry in the public and private sectors, as well as broad international experience, in particular in the US and Asian markets. He is also a non-executive director of security firm G4S.
Paul will be working with Actual Experience’s board to enhance the group’s profile and increase growth opportunities, particularly in its strategically important US market. He will also be a member of the company’s audit and nominations committees.
Actual Experience chairman Stephen Davidson said: “We’re delighted to welcome Paul to the board. As well as bringing a wealth of sector specific knowledge to the board, his extensive international experience will be very important as we seek to develop our geographical operations and customer base.”
Paul Spence added: “Actual Experience’s vision of digital experience quality is exciting. I am pleased to be joining the board and look forward to working with the leadership team to help build on the early successes.”
The firm, which is based at The Tramshed, also has offices in Seattle and New York.
The firm emerged from research conducted at Queen Mary’s School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science in London and since its launch in 2009 has become the market leader in advanced analytics for managing digital business quality. It floated on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market in 2014.
