Independent PR firm Carnsight Communications is marking its fifth anniversary this year with a series of five charity fundraising challenges.
The Marshfield-based agency, which works with small and creative businesses, was founded in January 2016 by Jessica Morgan, building on her 20 years’ industry experience in London and a strong grounding in media relations.
Since then it has worked with more than 50 clients such as user experience firm Armadillo; healthcare marketing and advertising agency Create Health; healthtech firm Axela Innovations, and That Works For Me, the network of mums, carers, freelancers and professionals.
The agency expanded last year with Jessica and account executive Leigh-Ann Hewer being joined by new account manager Georgia Christley in September and by intern Megan Skinner in November. The team has also continued to work alongside a group of trusted freelancers.
To celebrate its birthday the agency is supporting two charities with five fundraising challenges this year – Target Ovarian Cancer, in memory of Jessica's mother who died last year, and BHF, in memory of Georgia’s father who passed away in 2019 and in honour of Leigh-Ann’s best friend.
The challenges involve getting active outdoors, so have been put on hold during lockdown. But the team is committed to doing them by the end of 2021.
Jessica said: “We’ve been through so much change in the last five months, let alone the last five years, so it’s brilliant to pause and look back on what’s been achieved.
“Thank you to every one of the 53 clients we’ve worked alongside, to the media we work with day to day and our partners and mostly, to my amazing team.”
Georgia added: ‘’I am so pleased to be working for Carnsight Communications and so excited to be able to be a part of this amazing company celebrating its fifth birthday! After a very tough year, it’s lovely to have a positive to focus on.
“We are a very close team who all feel passionate about helping others and making a positive difference to our planet and the local communities around us where we can.
“We feel like we want to raise some money to help others during these tough times by taking on a series of charitable and fun events to really mark the occasion.’’
Leigh-Ann said: “Working at Carnsight Communications over the past year or so has been an absolute pleasure. I’m incredibly proud of what we and our clients have been able to achieve and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.”
