Bishop Fleming, the regional accountancy firm with a large office in Bath, has appointed Frances Teague as its new director of finance.
Frances, a chartered accountant, joins from retail group Debenhams, where she was senior finance manager. In an extensive career she has worked in a number of accountancy and financial controller roles, having trained and qualified in Birmingham, followed by roles at PwC, South West regional law firm Ashfords and the South West Regional Development Agency, where she was head of finance.
In her new job she will be responsible for Bishop Fleming’s accounting and finance systems as it enters the next phase of its planned growth.
The firm delivers accounting, tax, corporate restructuring and advisory services to businesses and private wealth advice to individuals across its offices in Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Torquay, Truro and Worcester. It is also also the UK’s top auditor of academy schools.

Last month Bishop Fleming, which appears in the Sunday Times list of the ‘100 best companies to work for’ as an ‘outstanding’ employer, promoted Bath office partner Andrew Sandiford to managing partner.
Andrew, who is also head of the firm’s corporate and business services group, took over from Matthew Lee, who held the post since 2001. The firm’s Bath office is the city’s largest accountancy practice.
