Goughs Solicitors continues its series of free, online seminars for business owners to get up-to-date, relevant and pragmatic employment advice with a session later this month on discrimination.
The monthly Wednesday Wisdom Webinars, which kicked off last month, are led by the firm’s head of employment Rebecca Dennis, pictured.
They give employers the opportunity to tune in to a cost-free way to stay connected and well informed on employment law and best HR practice.
Each live 60-minute session will cover a different aspect of employment law, and will help business owners avoid pitfalls and reach successful resolutions while also debunking the myths of employee relations.
Dates and topics to be covered are:
- 29 June: Discrimination – how it happens and how to avoid it.
- 27 July: Disability discrimination – creating a level playing field and your duties.
- 31 August: Managing ill-health absence.
- 28 September: Re-organising your business and running a risk-free redundancy process.
- 5 October: Settlement: when and how to do it.
Rebecca Dennis’s professional background is unique in that she worked for more than 20 years as a barrister providing legal advice, drafting and advocacy for her clients and more recently provided specialist trouble-shooting services on employment law and employee relations at a leading international HR outsourcing company.
