Free will-writing service at Stone King will boost healthcare charity’s coffers

Bath-based law firm Stone King is offering to write wills for free to help raise vital funds for a leading healthcare charity.

The firm is supporting Make a Will Week 2014 – which runs from April 28 to May 2 – when its solicitors will be waiving their standard will-writing fees for clients who make donations to the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.

The trust is the only registered charity dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care across Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the world-renown Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Stone King has an office in Cambridge.

Rod Smith, a partner in Stone King’s trusts and estates team, said: “Make a Will Week is a great opportunity to ensure that your affairs are in order while supporting a very worthwhile cause.

“Making a will provides greater certainty for you and the loved-ones you leave behind, and ensures your wishes are clear if you choose to leave a gift to a charity.”

Clients are also being asked to consider Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust once they have provided for loved ones in their wills. The gifts it receives mean the trust can support many improvements to patient care, facilities and research.

The suggested donation for a single will is a minimum of £75 and £150 for a pair of mirror wills. For more information contact Rod Smith on 0800 111 4336 and mention Make A Will Week or visit www.stoneking.co.uk
