Bath-based Epoch Wealth Management, the fast-growing provider of specialist investment and tax planning services, is to be the main sponsor of a special fundraising dinner to support the Precious Lives Atlantic Challenge.
The dinner – at Prior Park College in Bath on April 5 – will help raise valuable funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) ahead of the Precious Lives Atlantic Challenge world record attempt in June.
Rowers Elliott Dale and Chris Walters will embark on a gruelling 3,246-mile transatlantic challenge from Manhattan to the Isles of Scilly in a bid to break the ‘two men in a boat’ transatlantic record of 55 days that has stood for 117 years.
Elliott and Chris, pictured, decided to take on the challenge in support of CHSW after visiting one of the charity’s three hospices.
They were so moved and inspired by the stories of the children and families who find support within the hospices that they wanted to take on a challenge that could raise significant funds for, and awareness of, CHSW’s work in making the most of short and precious lives.
Epoch Wealth Management partner Barry Newbury said: “We are proud to be associated with such a deserving and worthwhile cause.
“CHSW perform such an important service in the communities they serve and this fundraising dinner will help to support the valuable work they do. We are delighted to have been able to provide help and support in a number of ways, including being the main sponsor of the Bath dinner.”
Epoch is also a Bronze Challenge Sponsor which means its logo will also appear on the Row4PreciousLives boat as it travels across the Atlantic.
By sponsoring the event and the challenge, Epoch is supporting both the rowers and families helped by CHSW as they face the challenges ahead.
