The growing adult colouring-in craze has inspired Bath-based media group Future to launch its own magazine dedicated to the hobby.
Bi-monthly Colour Calm has what Future describes as “beautiful patterns that promote relaxation and creativity” – with issue one having 116 pages of intricate designs, “perfect for relieving stress and offering a welcome escape from the pressures of everyday life”.
Future, best known for its gaming and tech titles such as T3 and Xbox: The Official magazine and websites such as techradar.com, said the launch was part of the growing trend around colouring-in for grown-ups, with adults increasingly turning to the simple pleasure of colouring books for both the calming nature of the pastime as well as the creative output.
Colour Calm’s 56 patterns are printed on heavy, high-quality paper for use with felt pens or pencil crayons.
The launch issue also shows how to download a free pattern from Johanna Basford’s multi million selling Secret Garden colouring book.
At just £4.99, Colour Calm offers the ultimate collection of relaxing art therapy for creative colourers.
Head of content for Future’s creative group Matthew Pierce said: “Colour Calm is the perfect way to unwind, relax, and be creative at the same time. It’s the ultimate digital detox: keep calm and colour in!”
Colour Calm, which costs £4.99, is available from retailers or can be ordered from www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk
