GIVE ME FIVE: Top tips for staying fit and active at your desk

This week: FIVE easy tips for those who sit behind a desk all day.

  1. Start the day with a small warm up routine for 5-10 minutes to activate your postural muscles.
  2. Stretch little and often throughout the day. Keep them dynamic.
  3. Sit on your ‘bum bones’ to activate glutes and core, keeping you upright and shoulders back and relieving lower back tension.
  4. Perform shoulder shrugs to help release neck tension and activate posture.
  5. Stay hydrated. Sip filtered water throughout the day for optimal brain and bodily function. Use BPA-free water bottles.
